WHO AM I AND WHAT HEARTS&BRAINS IS ABOUT

Welcome. My name is Marta Krawczyk, I’m a consumer psychologist and digital marketer. I help small / medium companies and startups promote their businesses and products online using social media, search engine advertising and web analytics. The goal is to support businesses so they can increase and measure traffic and conversions properly. I also write articles explaining consumer psychology & digital marketing concepts to non-marketers, to make them more accessible and useful in everyday (real) business.

With that said, if managed carelessly, it can eat up all your marketing budget without bringing any results, so it should be approached it with caution.

Advertising on social platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. One of the major benefits of this type of advertising is that you can take advantage of the users’ demographic, interest and detailed online behavior information, and target your ads appropriately. A well-handled web analytics platform can be an enormous source of valuable information about where your traffic comes from and which channels contribute to conversions. You can create and measure sales funnels, track goals and create remarketing lists. There is no online advertising without a proper web analytics. Unfortunately, so many companies don’t understand their analytics data and miss out on the amazing source of (free) information.

If any of your Google campaigns is targeting Google Search Network with Display Select, turn it off immediately and create separate search and display campaigns. This way you can actually optimize for performance and have a real control over your budget and targeting. Seriously, do this, asap.
